In response to the increasing demand for the services of BIF in Bangladesh, the plan had been graphed to establish a Branch of Al-Noor Eye Hospital in an appropriate location in Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh. Uttara, which is considered one of the most organized cities in capital, was chosen as a site for this hospital.
His excellency, honourable saudi ambassador in Dhaka, Dr. Abdullah Bin Nasser Al-Busairi had honoured the inauguration ceremony in 2009 through his auspicious presence. Dr. Adel Abdul Aziz Al-rashood, the Secretary General of Al-Basar International Foundation, along with a highly respectable delegation from among the directors of BIF and other closely related figures to the organization had also been present on the occasion.
This hospital was named Makkah Eye Hospital in congruence to the decision of Central Committee that all the upcoming hospital of Al-Basar International Foundation will be named after the holy city of Makkah.
Within a short period following the inception, Makkah Eye Hospital has started stepping its way in much rapid pattern and has become another destination of eye patients in Bangladesh. Crowd of patients in almost every morning is an evident example to this. Motivations, inclinations and clarity of vision, mission and targets of those working behind it, played a significant role in turning the attention of people to the hospital.
