With the primary goal of addressing preventable blindness through various measures such as free eye camps, eye hospitals, eye screenings for school children, and ophthalmic training for healthcare professionals, Al Basar International Foundation is working across Bangladesh through different programs.

 

Till today, the foundation has carried out 88 cost-free eye camps covering 43 districts of Bangladesh, providing eye care services to 606,313 patients, performing 43,922 cataract surgeries, and distributing 129,787 eyeglasses, all at no charge.

The foundation has also strong bases in six district of Bangladesh as it has seven eye hospitals across the country, including two in the capital city of Dhaka, namely Alnoor Eye Hospital and Makka Eye Hospital Uttara. The foundation also runs five other hospitals in Makka Eye Hospital Rajshahi, Makka Eye Hospital Tangail, Makka Eye Hospital Rangpur, Makka Eye Hospital Joypurhat, and Makka Eye Hospital Meherpur.
